Computer Aided Draughting & Design

Course Aim
To provide the participants with the skills and related knowledge in two dimensional computer aided design, three dimensional design and solid modelling, and, to develop their attitudes personal effectiveness and job seeking skills that will enable them to obtain employment using computer aided draughting and design software packages.

Participant Profile
Applicants must have reached the current statutory school leaving  age. Leaving Certificate or its equivalent with a pass in Maths and Technical Drawing, or, relevant previous computer aided / manual draughting experience, or, progression from the FÁS Foundation in Computer Aided Draughting course is essential.

Good numerical and literacy skills are essential. Good spatial aptitude and good form perception are desirable. Good verbal and written communications skills are desirable. Competency in performing conventional draughting tasks is essential.
